Play: Enter Atari Teenage Riot’s “We Are From The Internet” Remix Contest

Delivered... Beatport Staff | Scene | Tue 17 Feb 2015 6:30 pm

Originally formed in 1992, Berlin-based Atari Teenage Riot is a digital hardcore band founded by Alec Empire that fuses highly charged political messages, a punk ethos and face-melting techno into a signature sound that’s undeniable. Their debut album, 1995’s Delete Yourself! was surrounded by controversy in Germany upon its release due to its strong anarchist, anti-fascist and anti-Nazi views.

Now, after reforming in 2010, Atari Teenage Riot — featuring its revamped line-up of Alec Empire, Nic Endo and MC CX KiDTRONiK — have returned in 2014 to release their sixth studio album Reset including standout tracks like “Street Grime” and “New Blood.”

Ready to make your mark by winning our latest Play competition? Get to work remixing Atari Teenage Riot’s latest warcry “We Are From The Internet,” taken from their latest LP Reset.

Brooklyn-based Adrian Michna has become a staple within the New York club scene acknowledged for his chameleon-like ability to combine hip-hop, booty jams and electro into a cohesive sound all his own. While growing up on the East Coast in New York and Miami, he was drawn to both the urban and the tropical. From an early age, he began DJing parties on the Manhattan bar circuit including the infamous Lion’s Den and CBGB’s.

Then, after journeying south to Miami in the mid-1990s, he co-founded the pioneering Secret Frequency Crew that coupled instrumental hip-hop with classic electronica. Now, upon returning to his beloved New York, he’s found his stride as a solo artist while exploring his own personal songwriting and production acumen with a futuristic sonic edge.

Ready to make your mark by capturing top prize in our latest Play competition? All you have to do is submit an inspired remix of Michna’s electronic charmer “Solid Gold” featuring MNDR, that’s worthy of release.
